Need some help!!
Trying to help a friend. His car is burning a lot of oil. From Altanta to Charlotte (about 200 miles) it burnt almost 4 quarts of oil. Engine is non-turbo with 3mm seals. Has about 30k on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Why would you have an NA with 3mm seals? That's completely worthless. You need to check and make sure it's actually burning the oil. If it's losing that much then it would have smoked blue smoke during the entire trip.
If that is what happened then you're probably going to have to do a rebuild.

Are you sure it's burning the oil and not just leeking from somewhere?

Ya, If the engine is running fine otherwise, and isn't blowing clouds of blue smoke, I would suspect the oil cooler lines. A broken OMP line might also be suspect.

I wanna say that it's smoking above 4000 RPM, not sure as of yet. Haven't had a chance to drive it myself. I'm thinking it's a bad oil seal, though. Looks like I'm gonna be doing a re-build.
