need some fuel mod advice
alright guys ive had several different opinions on what i should do so i want to hear from some of you who have actually done this on your cars, I have an 87 turbo II series 4 and i put on a racing beat 3 inch turbo back and fcd, when i put them on i immediately blew my engine, i first thought that it was my injectors, now i have a jspec motor im getting ready to drop in and am wondering what fuel mods i need to get to run this 3 inch exhaust safely, this is all the mods i plan to do for a while since i am a student and don't have an income so i am wanting to spend as little on fuel mods as necessary but enough to have a safe and good air fuel ratio for my car to be making its peak power, what mods should i put on? tell me what you guys think?
thanks
thanks

first thing you need is a boost gauge. 2nd is a bigger fuel pump. pick up a walbro for around $120
those 2 you should be good till 10psi. with the stock intake I don't think you will hit that. maybe you will. that's why you watch the boost gauge. if it goes past 10 let off.
I would pull the turbo off and port the wastegate before the engine goes in. that will solve everything..

Just to reiterate what Scott said, get a decent fuel pump (it's the weak link, not the injectors), get a boost gauge (it's very important you know if you're overboosting), port the undersized wastegate (look at fitting a bigger flap too), and leave stock intake alone. You might get away with replacing the airbox with a pod filter (make sure you install a heat shield and cold air intake too) but leave the turbo inlet duct alone. If it boosts too high put the airbox back on.
