Question Need some advice on what i should be selling my FC for

Ok
The car is a 88 gxl, black exterior gray interior, 168k on engine
First the good:
Engine is running beautiful still very strong, Very fun to drive.
Interior is very clean (maintained by me)
Has a brand new apexi N1 exaust
Bonez straight pipe
HKS intake
400 alarm system intalled this year
Those reverse indiglos from ebay
The bad:
Got side swiped by truck about a month ago, the entire left side is damaged it will need front fender, door, and rear fender (hardest of all cuz it involves welding to fix)
Needs clutch
Needs front rotors

Ok so what should i sell this for? Should i part it out? Is It worth anything?
Need advice guys and of corse any and all help would be great!!
Thanks!

You could probably get more money if you parted it out.

Don't part out a nice running RX-7. You guys are insane.

Doors and fenders for 2nd Gens are incredibly common. Plus, any bodyshop with a bit of talent can weld that new 1/4 panel in. Go to a junkyard, get the parts you need and after fixing/repainting, sell your car for $3000.

Geez.

And who is going to pay $3000 for an NA with 168k miles on the engine?

In Ohio they pay that much all the time. The only person that wouldn't pay that much is an RX-7 enthusiast, but I see RX-7s in the paper here going for WAY beyond what the forum would dictate.

Weird huh?

Well I know of like 5 people that bought S4 NAs with less miles for around $800 or so. Also without any body damage/repair work done.

Meaning that I agree with you RX7withNitrous...not meaning that I'm cheap. Guess my car won't sell on the forum either. And it's hard to sell locally when either no one knows what the hell it is, or if they do know anything, they think the rotary engine is junk.

Well would you go buy a car that has had damage for more money with more miles? I mean thats just common sense, right? Around here, $1500 is the max anyone pays for S4 NAs.

Agreed. They ask for great products, and then complain about the price. It's one of the things keeping me from actually attempting to manufacture a decent product for these cars.

They even bitch about the price of a Walboro! I spent $410 on my fuel pump alone, let alone the rest of the fuel system. Performance on RX-7's does not come cheap... if you want cheap, buy a mustang.
You get what you pay for....

Ok well guys im not going to be selling on this forum, i dont think. I wanna start with the local **** first then maybe spread out if i have to.
Next thing is i do not have the money to repair this car right now nor do i want to so i think the only thing to do it part it out, but i mean isisnt that a major pain in the *** cuz i have to take out all the parts like the exaust and ****. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS CAR IS WORTH WITH THE DAMAGE LISTED?? Thats the route i think im goin to take.
Man i think im gonna end up selling this car for whatever just to get rid of it cuz its too much of a damn head ace
Either way i need to get rid of it quick but with all the godamn snow around here i dont think i can do that untill the summer
