Need Rotary Guru...

I have a '91 J-Spec TII Clip and an '86 NA US-Spec car. I'm wondering if anyone can foresee any problems i might run into swapping the Wankels and possibly doing a RHD conversion on the '86 (firewall cutting, wiring harness problems, etc...) Also, since the Car was cut at the front weld, I only have the front 5-lug for the TII so i've been told to get an '88 Mustang Rear end (supposedly it is supposed to fit perfectly 'cept for the u-joints)

Any problems that anyone can see with any of this/ideas/anything is welcome
If anyone has done this before, details on it would be wonderful, My friend came up with some ideas to keep track of oil lines and such but any other ideas can't hurt!

good luck w/ the RHD conversion. are US and Jspec frames different past the firewall? (like the pass cabin)
as far as the harness goes, they are diff between s4 and s5 i think jspecs were different as well.

as far as the stang rear end, i've never heard of this conversion. whats the gearing for it?

you might want to rebuild the jspec, or at least test compression on it. those japs are crazy hard on their cars

good luck, welcome to the site, and search search search, a wealth of knowlage lies before you

The mustang rear end was an idea from a friend who has a 1st gen, said it would fit on the 2nd gen, i'll have to ask him about the gearing.

AS for the Japs being crazy hard.... i have a sticker on the clip that suggests that it was at one point in Re-Amamiya's Garage. in fact, the sticker says (in Japanese) Re-Amamiya and then has Garage right next to it in English and above that it says "Grieff". I'll post pics once my camera's charged.

The Clip only had 45,000KM on it before the Crazy Japs Drifted it into a tree. (I can only assume since it's half a car and it had all kinds of stickers that i have yet to relate to parts i.e. Option 2 with something about Happy Birthday to Dai 50, The aforementioned Re-Amamiya/Grieff Sticker, GReddy, and there's a large hole that had something mounted in the Glove-box etc.)

From what i've compared, the frame doesn't seem to be any different past the firewall, and i have the complete J-spec Dash, steering column, pedals, etc.

As for the TII rear-end, due to my location they are a little harder to find, so whatever i find in good condition will get used.

The term "Japs" is considered a offensive slang term. Please do not use it here. This is the only warning you will get.

Was using it in reference to a previous comment, will make a point not to use it again, thanks for the warning
