Time to revive my old thread, as I don't want to start a new one about the same project.
Okay, so I still haven't gotten around to touching the 7 because life came up and I never had the money, but I finally have the money to get her back up and running.
I have been trolling through all sorts of threads about reliability mods and performance mods and stuff and just now came across one that mentioned upgrading the fuel lines to -6 or even redoing the tank outlet fittings and running -8.
Specifically this thread, and I'll just quote "jimlab" on the part I'm mentioning as it's a rather large post.
And my questions come down to how exactly do you run a -6 line or even just replacing the fittings and running -8. Could you replace the fittings and run, say, -4 and upgrade to -6 or -8 later? Preferably as step-by-step would be nice please.
My plans for this 7 are eventually going E85+, as it's readily available within 5 miles, swapping some s5 rotors in, and going 20b or larger on s5 rotors, and definitely not porting as I want this as daily driver as possible but still having some power.
Edit: Almost forgot that I finally got some pics of the beauty as well, she does need a wash though.

The stock fuel lines are only the equivalent of roughly -4 aftermarket lines, so even upgrading at least your delivery line (there are three... one for fuel delivery, one for fuel return to the fuel tank, and one for the charcoal cannister vapor reclamation system) to a -6 (pronounced "dash 6") line is an improvement. Upgrading the fuel fittings on the tank outlet to aftermarket AN (Army/Navy spec) fittings and -8 fuel line is even better. The more fuel you can deliver, the better. Your return line can be smaller than your delivery line, but it doesn't hurt to upgrade that too, if you're really flowing a lot of fuel.
