Need a quiet/good sounding exhaust system

Guys,

I have an '87 TII. I'm looking for a quiet exhaust system for it. I can buy the stock cat-back for about $400.00 through MComp. I have a boenz main cat replacement pipe alread on the car and a 3 inch HKS downpipe that goes from the turbo to the cat replacement pipe. I have been looking at the Racing Beat full exhaust system with the presilencer
that replaces the main cat. . So.....anybody know how the stock system will sound without the cats? Anybody know how loud the complete Racing Beat system is? Other ideas?

I like a nice sporty tone but I also want it to have near stock sound
levels.

Thanks,

Todd

I have a 3" downpipe/midpipe combo going to my stock catback and its pretty damn quiet. Its just a different tone really. Barely louder than stock. No one even knows I have anything done to the car.

Well, The RB presilencer is there to take that really high metallic sound out of the equation. So from that it's really whatever catback exhaust you use. I'll be going with an apex'i single catback. I'd say on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being loud 1 being quiet) with the presilencer in it's like a 4 with it out it's more like an 8. right now with a bonez hi-flo cat (N/a) and a stock dual exhaust it get's pretty loud inside the cabin as the 5/6 ports open up. (kinda like a boom, it sounds neat). Somewhere around a 5 or 6.

Is there any other things that can be added besides the RB presilencer to help quite down the exaust...

mine is way to loud and I cann't get on it without be heard from two miles away and the fact that it has this 3k deafening tone to it--makes crusing on the highway anoying!!!
