Need quick answer about taillight fitment, coupe vs 'vert
Well Im selling a set of S4 taillights that were originally on my car before I got my S5 lights, and a potential buyer asked me if I knew if they would fit on a 'vert. I originally said that I dont think so, since I thought that the 'vert taillights had a keyhole incorperated into them. He gets back to me saying that his 'vert's taillights dont have a keyhole, so they should fit. Well now Im not sure, so does anyone know if S4 coupe tail lights will go on a S4 vert? Thanks a lot
The vert has a key hole on the upper right side next to the plate. S5 Vert lights also have a key hole upper right.
S5/S4 coupes have a key hole is right in the center above the license plate and the
Unless the vert has his lights changes to coupe S4 or S5 or he just doesn't know because there are no lights there to tell.
When you put S5 or S4 coupe lights on a S4/S5 vert you will lose the keyhole

Actually I am looking for a mint pair of S4 taillights.
Everyone converts to S5s..
IMO the S4s look better.. *straps up flame suit*
The keyhole is not the only factor BTW. The coupe lights are cut (not attached) to the plate holder in a different spot. At least I know the S5 vert lights are. I was driving behind an S5 vert today while picking up parts at work. Main difference is the separation point and the keyhole.

If anyone's looking for a nice set of s4 lights, check out my ad in the FS section.

I wonder how difficult it would be to rig up vert lights with the key hole onto a coupe, and shave the keyhole above the liscence plate? But then again that would only be a mod for those "ricers" out there who actually ponder modifying the body...

Ok, I just got a pic of his car, and the key hole is on the center bracket, and not the light. The car is in Canada judging from the plate though, so Im not sure if that makes a difference. Still dont know if my coupe lights will fit though

What I mean by separation point is where the taillight meets the license plate light holder.
