On my old car, JIC coilovers, I think 2" lower all around.
I have no clue what springs my TII has on it, they're brown and the car rides LOOOWWW and fairly stiff. Tough to get it up the driveway, and I can't get a jack under the front bumper.

Tokico Illuminas, springs are ~300lb front(cut 1/2 a coil off), and ~180lb rear
My car is lookin really shabby at the moment. All will change soon....new paint on the way and ****...

I know my car has to be lowered at least an inch on the Tokico hardware, b/c my black '91 sits significantly higher. At any rate i think the height is alright, another half or full inch would be a little sleeker.

The mystery of the prize.
There's nothing wrong with cutting springs, end of story. Read a decent book on the subject and you'll find it's a recommended option for those on a budget.
You need stiffer shocks to go with the increased spring rate, that's why the car is so bouncy when you only cut the springs.
