Red face Need pics of turbo lines

I am going to look at another 10th anniversary turbo rx7 tomorrow that has a aftermarket t4 turbo on it. The guy took the turbo out and cant remember were all of the lines go so either a diagram or some pictures in your car of the oil and coolant lines and were they go would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the turbo feed line goes from the turbo to the right side of the front iron. the return line goes from the turbo to just under the OMP. is the turbo oil and water cooled?

They will only go back together one way. The FSM has plently pictures showing the lines. Look in the Engine, Fuel, Cooling and Lubrication chapters.

someone didn't read the post :P

The oil feed/return lines can go a number of different ways with an aftermarket setup, but in general as posted above is how it would be done. The oil return will almost always be to the front cover under the OMP. Feed on the top right side of the front iron.

coolant lines shouldn't exist, but may. There's a few different ways of dealing with those, one will be on the water pump housing and the other may go into the LIM.

Oops, my bad...

However the points where the turbo connects to the engine are shown in the FSM and I think that's what he really wanted.

Yes i believe he said it is coolant and oil cooled i have not seen the car yet but the guy told me the car had a oil leak on the turbo side, so he took the turbo out(not paying attention were each of the lines go) but the turbo is back in but he is not sure if the lines are in all of the right places. Yea i planed to look in the FSM but with a aftermarket turbo i did not know if it was any different. Thanks for the responses i am leaving in about an hour but want to do a compression test and if it dont pass then i will not have to worry about the lines but if i do get it i will just dolly it back to my house and fix the leaks and hopefully get some pics to show you guys to see if the lines are right.

All turbos are plumbed basically the same. The oil goes in the top (under pressure) and comes out the bottom (by gravity), and if it's water-cooled the coolant goes in one side and comes out the other (it doesn't matter which way). It makes sense to connect to the factory oil and coolant points on the engine.
