Need pics of an S4-S5 intermediate housing

Hey fellow rotards, contemplating swapping a rotary into my Volvo but am trying to decide which series to use. So.... I am looking for a few pics of the underside of of the intermediate housing with the pan off. Something thrown in for scale would be great, a ruler would be awesome. It looks like a pan will have to be fabbed anyway for clearance purposes but first I need to work out the mounts.

Thanks in advance yall!

There both the same. Also s4 has an egr, while s5 doesn't. So, I would use the s5 intermediate iron.

i guess you could call it an intermediate side housing. good enough.

i had a set of s4 and s5 turbo irons that i compared. the middle iron is basically the same between the two from what I could see. the s5 middle iron had the threaded knock sensor hole even though the knock sensor was relocated to the rotor housing for that series--or at least, my s5 middle iron was that way. depending on what production run it was, the s5 tends to have thicker castings on the front and and rear irons in the dowel pin area.

one thing i noticed was that my s5 middle iron did not have a nipple for a crankcase vent on it, just an untapped hole. I'm not sure if that was just mine or if they're all like that.

There's no such thing as a IRON. There is such a thing as a intermediate housing and front and read side housings.

Someone put those pictures on here. I suck at hosting pictures. But there's the different, the s5 has the a port under the intake port for putting air into the exhaust, while s4 has the egr.

Also on the right side of the s5 housing there's a bolt hole for the tension bolt. On the s4 it's much weaker.

Thanx 2slow, that gives me something to work with on the S4-S5, now if the guys in the first gen section will come thru for the S3 I'll be able to get to the fun part.

Arghx, My S5 housing does have the nipple for crankcase vent too. Could it be a difference between turbo and N/A housings?
