Need to pass tech.... RE: Battery tie down

Im taking my car upto a local auto-x tommarrow, and I need to find a way to get my battery tied down so i can pass tech, before it was just sitting there, now as a temp i just have a giant zip tie holding it. its not a stock battery, its a small *** die hard, so all the stock tie down stuff is gone, any ideas on how i can do this and make it look pro, so i can race??? any ideas welcome

thanks -adam

Maybe a nylon ratcheting tie-down strap? I think all you need is for it not to move when the techs try to shake it with their hands.

What I would do is make a little metal bottom plate and use rachet straps to hold it down. Shouldnt be a problem.

One of our guys up here once had to duct tape a battery in place. They let him drive.

Dude, just go to the parts stora and buy a tie-down. They have a selection at any Autozone, Pepboys, etc...

^^^ like he said. I used to work at a drag strip. Although most times they would let you get by with a bungee cord or something, they were always very happy to see a real bracket hold that thing down.

My 'vert has a battery tray with holes for the hooks of the tie down. I would invest in some sort of tray just for some decent support if you don't have anything. Doesn't have to be fancy...
