Question Need new tires.

So I'm in the process of fixing up the 1986 GXL I just bought. I've been told that I really need different tires, and I tend to agree.
Since North Carolina can get pretty rainy and humid in the summer and slushy in the winter, I want something that can stand up to the elements as well as be good for overall performance.
Does anyone have a preferred tire brand or know someone that's really happy with the ones they have?

Of coarse everyone has a preferred tire, and everyone is really happy with there choice in tire.. it's perpetual self-************.

That being said. i've had several sets of fuzion ZRI tires, they were pretty cheap, grip well, and i am sure they make a good all season tire for the slush n' ****.

careful with that GXL, your rear end likes to slide if you drop the clutch, or shift hard mid corner, You've got an LSD afterall

Unless you buy a really shitty tire of course.

You can do great research on the tire rack. www.tirerack.com

I have Falken Ziex 512's and I love them. Great on dry pavement...they won't break loose.

Now in the rain, not so well, but decent. It is an M+S rated tire but the tread pattern is more geared toward dry pavement.

I run Kumho Ecsta AST's. They are a great all around tire.

From: Bye NYC. you SUCKED!
I just installed a set of Bridgestone RE960 A/S Pole Position to my 91 S5 NA

Well, diff car I know.

the reason I picked this because I use the same set on my RX-8. it works very well in Dry and Rain, very light snow its fine. but I usually will replace it with my Blizzark set of wheels for that
