Angry Need a new front U-Joint...

Where can I find one? I went to NAPA and they looked up one for me. It had a part number, a part description, and a "Call for Price" dealy. Well, they called for the price and they said that the part doesn't exist yet!!! What do I do? I'm on a relatively low budget so I'm not gonna be able to get a whole new shaft and there isn't another RX-7 around here for at least 100 miles. PLEASE HELP!!!

the ujoints aren't replaceable. Thats why they don't exist.

Mazdatrix sells ujoints that can be installed inplace of the unreplaceable ujoints. Don't ask, but it works.

EDIT: I take that back, they don't.

Ok... Maybe I'm mistaking that with something RETed had said. Damn I know someone has made ujoints that you rape (errm replace) into the old driveshafts.

May I suggest searching?

EDIT: Found, 45 seconds of search.

mazdatrix sells a driveshaft with replaceable u-joints. There is no way to replace the U-Joints on the OEM driveshaft that I have heard confirmed. I have heard a few people say they found something that works but never any elaboration.

this link I am about to post should be stickied or something as this comes up way too often.

Peops have been replacing the U-joints for years and years on our cars, not just this guy. I have read ancient stuff on replacing the bad boys.

Anyhow...

Just make sure you get 430-10A, in that link he says to get the 420-10 at first, but that's actually the wrong one that they find out later (that one needs some modification to work) and 430-10A is the correct one. You can call up Rockford Driveline Components to order them, that's where I got mine, very helpful and quick shipping.

Yup he corrects it later to 430-10A

Just bought a complet driveshaft off of eBay so I guess I won't need to fix it for now. Of course I could use my old driveshaft for a template for an aluminum or carbon fiber or other lightweight driveshaft WITH non staked joints and titanium splines and yokes. Why yes, this should be free.
