need a midpipe/presilencer

Alright I got my exhaust on and am deciding between a few things since its a little loud. First I might buy a 3 straight through muffler and use it where the stock cat was. Or I might just go with a electronic cutout and put a high flow cat on there. The cutout is about $200 plus whatever a cat costs so that will be the more expensive route I'm sure. And I don't have an air pump so if whatever cat I get needs one then thats a waste any way it goes. What do you guys think? Anyone know the length of the stock cat so I can look for mufflers? Anyone know of any cheap full SS mufflers that will fit where the cat went? Thanks alot.

If your exhaust bolts up to the stock cats... then a racing beat downpipe/presilencer combo is 245 bucks.. I have it on with the RB catback and its pretty mellow untill you really get on it... then it lets you know its there

Well right now I already have full 3" SS exhaust all the way back. Best bet for me I think would be to find a muffler to use as a presilencer where the cat went. Just can't find too many short mufflers that are 3" in and out. I believe its like 18" but I can't remember.

All I know from my experience is don't use a magnaflow round muffler. I put a Magnaflow 4" round muffler in place of my cat and the inards of it were blown out in a month, at most. Now it's back to having just a test pipe in there, oh well

I told you so

The cure for it is a 3 inch borla:

40944 16" x 4 1/2" x 7 7/8"
