If its been sitting for that long theres a lot to do in order to properly get it running again. This link will help with that.

http://www.aaroncake.net/RX-7/unstore.htm

You can disable the alarm by unplugging the main unit.. location on page 15-8 of this link.(under glove box.) Once you get the car running you can worry about whats wrong with the alarm.

http://www.cochran-racing.com/FSM/s4...CAL_SYSTEM.pdf

By door method , I assume you mean putting the key into the door and turning to disable... right? Also did you try both doors?

Letting everyone know what year RX and such is always helpful.

The S4 RX-7 had a seperate alarm unit under the glove box. S5 the alarm is integrated into the CPU which is located at the driver's kick panel.

I can't help more than that though.

Sorry its a 86 rx-7 im not too sure if its the s4 or s5. I did try to unplug something in the back of the glove box cause i guess my friend has a s4.
When i unplugged something back there the alarm wouldnt come on but still had no power what so ever in the car i tried like 2 or 3 plugs in the back so my guess is its an s5.

Yes dave i tried both doors while i was inside my friend told me to lock both doors and keep trying seeing if the alarm would stop but it didnt. Would be alot of help if he was here but he moved far so im jus trying to do as much as i can.

S4 = 86-88 RX7
S5 = 89-91 RX7

You should have an alarm unit under your glovebox

Not from inside!

The factory alarm disarms from the key being turned to the unlock position in either door or the hatch.

If you move the latch switches from the inside, They will just trigger the alarm.

Key in door, turn to unlock; to disarm the factory alarm.

hey guys sorry i havent been able to reply. I tried what you asked me to do Icemark and still nothing.
I tried both doors and hatch nothing do you think it could be a loose or rusted ground if so where would i find it or could it be the button at the bottom of the door telling the car if the door is open or closed cause i checked the button on the passenger and driver door the passenger button is fine and slides easy the driver door button is rusted into the door closed position.
The reason i havent been able to reply or check up on the car is i dont live where the car is staying.
anyways any help on the problem would be nice thanks
