i was looking for something more along the lines of a presilencer or a suggested in-line muffler. i will NOT replace my entire exhaust system. i just want a little something to weld in.

No dice.
There are tons of ways to quiet your exaust, most of them are either "expensive"
or restrictive. A pre-silencer will quiet it down SOME, but it won't be night and day.
With big pipes, big muffs, no restrictions it will be loud. Loud is however subjective, so maybe your idea of loud and mine are different.... It could become very costly an experiment to find out though. Something that worked well for an FD buddy of mine when he got reffed for sound was creating a home made muffler baffle(and switching to a higher quality muffler). a silencer would probably be the single most effective for the dollar reliable/cheap way, just take it out when you go to the track or wherever you play with your 7. Otherwise, the reason why Racing Beat and other exuasts are so "expensive" is the materials and construction are generally higher quality thus dull noise and vibration more.

i put in a dynatech split-flow 3inch muffler from summit. it was only 100$ and quieted it down a **** ton, and has stainless steel packing so it wont burn out, and is straight through. the only thing is it is aluminized pipe not stainless. but i cant say enough how much it quieted it down.
