You know the solid vac line that brings air to the aux. ports? It attaches to the LIM in two places (one on the fire wall side and the other on the front side). Mine was kind of messed up (wouldn't let air through) so i had to cut away part of the middle and replaced it with silicone vac line. My question is will this work, or will it be too hot down there because it is right next to the exhaust. And if it matters, the part i had to cut away at the very front of the line (closet to front of the car, furthest from the exhaust). Thanks in advance.

should be alright, you have other lines equally as close to the exhaust manifold.
