Unhappy need info on steering wheel adapter PLEASE!!

I just installed an after market steering wheel and on the test run the adapter kit destroyed my blinker switch, apparently the adapter that I got from PepBoys (APC brand), goes back too far and makes the wheel scrape on the column shroud, it also comes in far enough to ruin the blinker auto off mechanism, (little white part surrounding the steering shaft). If you have installed an aftermarket steering wheel, what adapter kit did you use and where did you get it from? I went back to PepBoys and the one I have is listed as the right one for ALL mazdas for like 20 years. I can't figure out what to do with this thing.

Thanks,
John

I'm using a Momo "Fighter" steering wheel mounted w/ a Mazdaspeed adapter on my '90 TII from www.corksport.com I think it was about $50...

Works great, easy install, even easier to remove the steering wheel now.

What I did was pulled off that grey piece. My Grant steering wheel adapter fits a lot nicer. Only down side is I have to cancel my own turns, no biggie really.

I also run a MOMO Race 350mm steering wheel with a MOMO adapter.&nbsp The key to the turn signal cancellation system is to make sure the white plastic ring sit firmly into the adapter via two "dowel" pins.&nbsp If the pins don't sit in the proper holes, the adapter will mangle the plastic in no time at all.

$65 is not bad.&nbsp MSRP is like $80+ with some shop charging $100 for them for the MOMO units!

I did line the dowels up but it shoved the whole thing back pretty hard even the shroud would not fit when you put the wheel on.
