I just got in to Rx7's i got a1986 13b auto with 73000 miles on it from a lady for 800 bucks this car is spot less from AZ and runs like a dream so i was wondering how hard is it to swap in a 5 speed in this car what parts do i need or should i just look for a whole parts car. Any help would be great and i looked in the Archives but couldnt find nuttin

 

look harder. it's titled COMPLETE auto to manual conversion. it's all covered there.

Well well. My time to shine. Yes it would be easier to find a parts car for really cheap. You can find a banged up car for $200-$300. For my swap I got a TII for $100. You'll need the following off the car.
S4 N/A parts listed
flywheel w/pilot bearing and clutch
transmission
drive shaft
starter
clutch slave cylinder
clutch pedal
dust boot cover and shifter ****

Everything will bolt right up with the exception of the crossmember mounts which you'll have to figure out. There is a forum member who sells brackets here and I used them. PM if you need more info.

 

Why don't you just the drive the automatic rx7 around, may come in handy when you attend cheerleading practise

 

I don't think he would be attending to cheer with the rest of the girls. If they weren't underage I'd be there all the time.
