need help with vac hose routing
need help with vac hose routing
Just finishing up installing a rebuilt motor into my 88 vert. Somehow I didn't label one of the vac hoses coming off the front of the Dynamic Chamber. Need to know where the middle hose goes to. I have it connected at one of the nipples on the intake manifold near the air valve but somehow I have the feeling it does not go there.
Thanks to everyone.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm guessing you need access to the factory service manuals.
I have a full set on the FTP site at the link in my sig below.
Select the 86-88 folder, then download & print whatever you need.

Thanks Bill,
I have the manuals and also the Haynes book that has a pretty good vac hose diagram. Both those diagrams however show that middle hose dissappearing behind the lower intake manifold. I need to see what is on the other side! I have found 2 other 88's to look at but one has the rat nest removed, the other seem to have an 89 motor in it. Been working on the car for 16 months and almost ready to put back on the road ... just have a few little things like this to do before I try and start for the first time.

OK, Just downloaded the fuel system section from your link and the diagram I got is different from the other 2 I have. Looks like I need to dissassemble a few things to connect that little hose.
Thanks
Thanks
Oh - I see what you mean.
It looks like it's headed for the ACV?
In the meantime you can cap & plug that circuit still still run the motor.
Worst case - it might backfire some on deceleration.
