need help with turn signals. (searched)

alright well ive searched a bit and couldnt find any help. most the posts ive found talk about the actual turn signal not working and cpu problems. my problem is that my right turn signal got water in it and stopped working so i opened it up and cleaned it. now when i have the headlights on only one turn signal lights up. but the other one only lights up when the turn signal is on?? i havent tried replacing the bulb becasue obviously it is not burned out and i know the water didnt do any damage. any help is apreciated.

I think you have mixed up parking lights with turn signals.

In the front bumper lights, there are two circuits. A parking light and a turn signal. If you look at the bulb there, there is two different contacts and two differnt filiments in the bulb.

Sounds like you have a bad bulb, or bad bulb socket. The 1157 is the bulb used in the front bumper lights and again has two lights in the same bulb.
