need help swapping a dizzy in place of cas

I have a cas on my motor right now and I'm trying to swap a 12a dizzy into it. I have a fsm for my 88 but nothing on how to set the distributor up.

Is there an easy way to swap the dizzy in without having to play with timing? For example, line up the keys on the cas/dizzy.

What do I set the timing to trigger at before attempting to start the car to adjust it? (something like setting it to fire exactly 20* BTDC before trying to start it)

I think my pulley is marked at top dead center, the pulley has cuts in it that line up with the bolts in front of the pully and another maybe 5 or 10mm to the left.

Any help appreciated

I got the 85 fsm pages for installing a distributor. I don't have any painted marks, but I do have 3 teeth cut into the pulley.
