Need help with Summit Racing RPM Switch

I have this switch hooked up, and it has power, but I can not get it to read a RPM signal. I have the wire going to the bullet connector at the leading coil.

I have searched on here and can't find anyone who has used the switch with the dip switches, which is the one I bought. Anyone familiar with this unit?

I have 2 of the previous version of that switch (with dip switches). I also used the tach signal connector on my leading coil, and had no issues with it. You might try the connector on the trailing coil to see if it decides to work.

I have tried both of the bullet connectors, as well as tap directly into the wire going to the factory tach.

May of gotten a bad unit. Got to looking, and the blue LED they are talking about in the directions is missing from the circuit board.
