Need help!!!! stationary gear out...
I have a 91 rx-7 and I took it to a friend to have the oil pump replace since I was reading low pressure, so the thing is he accidentally pull the front stationary gear (wich i think was pretty stupid, u dont accidentally take 8 12mm bolts and a plate and pull that off in an accident, anyways) and now I tried to put it back in place and it seems like the front rotor is stuck inside the housing , I dont wanna force it to turn Im afraid that could damage the housing, what can I do to avoid pulling off the engine , also is there a mark for the rotor and the stationary gear? I think there is a particular way to place the rotor,. any help would be appreciated., thanks

So not only did he remove teh stat gear from the engine, but he must have turned the engine while it was out (a complete no-no)?
Wow, not sure about that one. I guess you can try turning the engine slightly one way or another to see if it allows the stat gear to be reinstalled, but it's easy to get the rotor into a bind without the gear. There is nothing else you can do that I know of, than turning the shaft slightly one way or another to see if the gear goes back in.
Why in the crap were you fooling with an oilpump anyway? I've never had one fail or even heard of it.
