NC need help with some build questions

hey so im new to this site and just bought my first rotary, a 1991 mazda rx-7. i have never worked on a rotary before so this is all new to me. the first question i have is how do you replace the water pump? iv been having some trouble with it. and the second question i have is when i punch the gas my car bogs down, i have to ease the throttle down. im thinking its because i dont have enough back pressure because i put a big exhaust system on it. how can i counter act this if it is my back pressure? oh and last but not least if there is any members on this site in NC send me a pvt message i wanna start some sort of get together if there isnt one already.

Water punp is pretty straight forward, there's like 7 bolts on the front, you remove them and then remove the pump (pump may be a little stuck together from previous owner using silicone or something but it should just come out, all belts gotta be removed obiously.

The car bogging down may be a ground issue, or tps needs adjusted, or could be a clogged fuel filter.

Check out the FAQS thread that's stickied up at the top of this thread category, itll awnser a more questions than youd think. Theres a ton of info there.

Welcome and enjoy your REX

the fan and pulleys come off after you undo the little 10mm bolts.

They are on the fan attaching it to the pulley. The alternator and radiator do not need to come out for a water pump job. Once yiu remove the fan and all the belts you should have plenty if room to work.
