I have a 87N/A base. I have all the equipment to do the 89 intake swap. I also have the mazdatrix trudual exhaust. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the 6 ports and VDI working.http://homepage.mac.com/carldavis/intake/intro.html
now following this swap guideline I just attach my 6 ports to the ACV and the VDI will run off the air pump. with the switch which I have BUT!!! I'm doing the true dual exhaust. In the instructions for the exhaust I'm supposed to remove and block off the ACV because it will not be functional nor good looking. Then it says if I remove the ACV that I need to remove the Air pump because it won't be used either.

my main question is how to do the intake swap and exhaust, and if I left the ACV and air pump on would they not function like the instructions said? the main problem is how to get the VDI chamber to open up without air pump due to exhaust.

I would think you would have to leave the air pump and mod the system to work like it normally would on a S5
