Need help with S5 vert parts replacement
Maybe a dumb question but, the only blems on my '90 vert are the 10 pins for the tonneau cover and the 5 fasteners on the frame rail (right word?) that the cover is wrapped on. They are age rusted a bit. I want to go to Mazda and replace them. Does anyone know if the frame they screw into is tapped? I mean can all 15 be removed and the new ones simply screwed in or is there a retaining nut on the other side of the rail that is going to dislodge? Hope I have made my question clear.
As an aside, I have the entire Parts Manual in printed form and I will be damned if I can identify the pins and the fasteners. 4 - G - 4 to 4 - l- 4 illustrates the assembly but for the life of me, I simply cannot identify them in part cuz my eyes ain't so good and the illustrations are not dead on clear. Anyone have a clue? Anytime I go to Mazda needing a small weird part they scew the order up.
Thanks for the smarts and time folks.
