Exclamation Need help really fast !!!!!

I need your help fast !

I must remove the counterweight from a S5 auto engine ! In the FSM, it says that I need a special puller to remove it ....

Is there anyway to remove it without the special tool ?

If I remove theses 6 bolts (picture), is everything gonna come off ???

Thanks !

Whoa! DO NOT REMOVE THOSE BOLTS! They hold in the rear stationary gear. The best way to remove the counterweight (in my opinion) would be to attach the flywheel/flexplate to the counterweight while it's on the engine and remove the flywheel/counterweight as 1 piece.

Or you could try a crow bar, and pry the counterweight off.

Don't remove the stationary gear bolts. Heat up the counterweight with a torch and have a buddy hold the engine while you pry it off with a pry bar. Worked on my buddy's FD motor.
