Our cars use a MAF sensor to see how much air is comming in. Now we can not bring in more then we can flow out. So freeing up the exhoust will allow ous to bring more air in and thus the computer making adjustments for the extra air buy adding more fule and keeping us from runing rich or lean. You wil only change the fule carectoristics of you are preset tuned and your exhoust is outside of the 100% CFM range

It seems as if 1987RX7Guys only expertise is knocking other peoples exhausts. Just because something looks stock does not mean it's better than a single exhaust. Do you like people telling you that rotaries are unreliable, gas guzzling, low torque pieces of crap? It's the same type of scenario..

A friend of mine installed the Corksport 3" single in his 87 TII. I'm under the impression that it is made by the same supplier that makes the S&S Autochrome setup. Yes they are loud and the silencer will restrict boost levels, even with drilling holes in it.

His solution was installing the Borla XR1 in the stock main cat location. World of difference in loudness, improved exhaust tone and no down side on performance.

I knock the knockable crap that is put out by shitty companies.

While the SSAC and CS setups are "built" with quality and done right that doesn't make them any good as far as sound.

The poster wants a good exhaust and the RB turboback certainly does what HE wants so back off punk. You should look at how sad you are compared to me

Remember the back presur portion of our tets where we used our hand to cover up a shinking pipe? This is what they are doing. Our pipe bends and so forth restric flow so a full 3in was requierd they felt to get maximum flow but all the way down to the muffler was to much air thus adding a 2in muffler. Remember size = capacity but not flow rate.

anyone on this forum lay down 400rwhp with RB catback? But several do with a single 3inch. If you don't like the loud sound of a single then don't buy one. If you want a stock quiet exhaust get the RB duals. I personally think its time Racing beat lowers the prices on their stuff because they are no longer spending money in R&D for the 2nd gen. And we all know they stole that entire design from Greddy anyway.

Does the Apexi ECV work on a N/A setup, so you can decrease the exhaust noise?
