Question Need help please!?

Hello everyone, my name is Jack, im 17 in phoenix az and im trying to purchase my first car. Ive been on the market looking to purchase a 88-91 CRX Si, but those are few are far between out here in the dessert. I was wondering about purchaseing an RX-7 and the guys at school told me 2nd gen are the best. Could you guys tell me some of the reasons to buy and not buy this car?

Thanks!
Jack

There are some great FAQ threads stickied at the top of this forum.

The 2nd gen RX-7 is a lot of bang for the buck, but it is not a low maintenance car, you have to keep up with it to get maximum reliability.

perfect car for a 17-year old- fairly cheap purchase price, keeps ya busy learning how to use your tools, fun to drive, with just enough power to make you cream in your pants without killing yourself (unless you're really CRAZY)

Is it a turbo? You might try reading the 2nd gen FAQ and then search for "buy" in the subject line.

If it is an NA that has been taken care of it will be a fun car for you but there can be a lot of problems with Rx-7's. They are not Honda's, thankfully Make sure to take it to a shop and have them check the normal stuff to make sure it is a solid car.
