Need help on part ID....pic included.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the proper name of this part is?

The bent rod. Is it called the Rack Rod? Any info would be great? Oh, and are they exspensive to buy new from Mazda? Thanks.

Generic name is "tie rod"
I'm not sure about Mazda's name.

Call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda 888-533-3400 and tell him you got his name from the RX-7 Club web site. He can give you the price on this from Mazda. Discount pricing and free shipping.

Sweet, thanks guys. Exactly what I needed to know.

Just for more info this is the effect of me screwing up a drift right at the end and then a curb jumped out of no where. I learned my lesson.

you could for the time being just bend it back (This is not that easy to bent though--just an idea)...it will at least get you back on the road! Also you could just get one for the junkyard!!

Does it matter if its S4 being installed on an s5 though? I have checked all the junkyards around where I am and non of them have a single S5, have a few S4's and thats it, and they are all NA as well if it makes a difference.

We sorta tried to bend it back a little but no success. I gotta get in there to change the sway bar end link that broke as well so might as well install a new rod at the same time. Already got the end link coming though

that would severely weaken the tie rod, and it would most likely break from driving on it.
