what color is the smoke? white indicates burning coolant, which means you probably blew your coolant seals, Oil burns blue and gas burns black, simple way to test to see if you coolant seals blew, pop off radiator cap, turn engine over, if you have a nice little fountain thing going on, your gonna need a rebuild

start off by checking compression
Or I would think something is flooding it when engine is off (might be coolant leak)

do you think that a 2.5 inch race pipe to an apex'i GT catback would make it run ten pounds

have you ported the wastegate? with that exhaust setup on a stock wastegated S4 T2, you will probably be creeping to 13 psi or more. i was creeping to 13 psi with a 3" RB turboback with my stock S5 wastegate, and the s5 wastegates flow much better than S4s.

cruising was just a word i used i accelerated to 140 and then coasted down to a stop. under a minute of hard driving. tried the radiator cap test. no coolant came out, which i hope means no bad coolant seals. had my plug hooked up wrong, so i fixed that and now when i crank it, it sounds like it wants to turn over but can't smells really flooded. tried egi fuse fix, no luck but very close. what else should i do, besides compression test? also what should i look for when i do compression test, 3 pulses over what is it 85 psi???

Try doing the severe unflooding procedure.First you remove the lower spark plugs or both. Then squirt in some oil or atf into the chambers. Then turn the engine over by hand.Remove the egi fuse and disconnect the cas.Turn it it over for like 20 seconds, then put everything back together and try to start.Should start,if it was just badly flooded.

Good luck
Danny

Use the leading plug hole the bottom one.Anything above 85 is good.

remove egi, pull lower spark plugs, put an old shirt or something over both the holes and crank for a long time until everything thats liquid in the chambers is out. remove all the plugs and clean them with a wire brush and lighter. put a couple squirts of motor oil in the bottom two plug holes then put all plugs back in and start. it should start right up. and it will smoke for about 5-10 minutes depending on how much oil you put in. this is what worked on my 87 tii after it sat unused for 5 winter months. this is assuming you didnt blow your engine. if you blew an apex seal from too much boost your engine will sound like a lawnmower and have no power.

don't crank your engine over for very long crank it over for about 5 sec, left the starter motor kool down for a min or 2, then crank it over again.. if nothing is coming out clean your plugs and put them back in.. if something is still coming out then keep repeating step and 2 till nothing does..
never crank an engine over for too long you can (not saying you will ) but you can burn out your starter

just my 2 cents.. then change your oil as a really bad flood will get gas into your oil cauing is to thin
