Need help identifying part

Hey all, I have a 1987 S4 Turbo II, I need help identifying this part. Wondering about that cylindrical part that has a gate in the exhaust. I am doing a emissions delete, and wondering if this is something that can be deleted. If it cant be deleted, where could I get a new line, as this one is in bad shape.

Exhaust manifold for turbo.

Not true. The S4 TII has neither auxiliary ports nor the associated actuators. The 5th and 6th port actuators are only on the NA rotary. That part is called the exhaust valve actuator. At a certain RPM, that actuator opens allowing full flow exhaust otherwise it stays closed to allow faster spooling.

Hot dog is correct. Its for blocking off part of the turbo to increase spool time, at higher revs it opens up for full flow. Dont delete this.
