Just putting my motor back in my 88 t2 and cann't remember were these three hoses hock up to. Any help with this would be appraciated.

 

A - goes to the factory air box before the turbo (should be seeing the airflow into the turbo)

b - can't make out what you have in the pic

c - goes to the emissions device that was fed from the air pump,since you sans airpump I would rip the unit off the LIM and install a block off plate.

 

Thats what I tought about hose A & C. The hose that I marked B is the one that bothers me the most. It comes from the top of the motor and looks like it hooks up to the spider under the vacume swiches.

 

Can anyone out there tell me were vacum line b is supost to hock up to??? I real need the help.

 

A plugs into the back of the turbo inlet duct

C comes off the bottom of the ACV and attaches to the round plastci item just in front of it in the picture. From the round black plastic thing it goes into the right front fender where there is a muffler (silencer).

B is too hard to determine. You need to find it's other end and then we can figure it out. IF series five it MIGHT go to the turbo. Got me. Gotta know about it's other end.

 

It apairs to run up to the first seloniod on the dirers side of the engine

 

take a nother pic, the part you circled "B" is the bolt head on the clamp for the turbo outlet hose.
