Need Help! Coolant Leaking around filler Cap

My FC S4 rx7's problem, is coolant keeps leaking around filler cap. So, I replaced the cap, and no difference. When the car engine gets hot, coolant will spray out from under the cap.

Im thinking if i seal off the filler neck opening permanantly, I won't be able to add coolant to the filler neck anymore. and if i need to add coolant, I will either add it to the overflow tank, or the radiator opening.

Is this possible? What else can I do?

Make sure it is put on there right. you can put those things on crooked without even noticing it.

if it is right try replacing the cap.

Yeah, I found a crack where radiator fluid is leaking.

I'm thinking just seal the hole permanantly with JB weld. Don't know if it will be an issue or not.

What do you think?

bad idea, I'm pretty sure that the cap in made to vent under heavy pressure (if the car overheats and and the coolant vaporizes) so if it didn't vent and you got too much pressure something else would probably blow out like the radiator or worse, I'd just get a new filler neck, it is 3 or 4 bolts to take it off

I think I even have one off an S5 I'd sell you for like $5 plus shipping, JB weld probably costs that much

My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

JB weld DOES NOT, repeat DOES NOT work well as a PATCH for PLASTIC when the plastic is in constant contact with COOLANT.

Go to a junkyard, and find a filler neck.

Alright I was wondering what part I should get for the filler neck. Sorry, I didn't have time to do anything.
Should I get the
http://www.mazdatrix.com/b8.htm
86-88 Cap Assembly w/overflow tube 15-17YA-N326

or
87-88 Cap Assembly w/o overflow tube (aluminum) 15-17Y0-N323

Does it matter which filler neck I get? Or should I get the aluminum one?
and do I need an O-ring? 15-1740-N326

Here is my filler neck

Just depends on whether or not you need the overflow tube.

look man, just get a new filler neck. the money you spend on jb weld could go toward your new neck and seal.

I know, I want to do that now. So my question is which filler neck is better? I have an overflow tank and it's connected to my radiator.

Since your rad already has the overflow handled, get the filler without the tube for the thermostat neck.
