Need help with aux. ports

Does anyone know how to find out if the ports on an 86 n/a are working correctly because i need to find out if mine are working or not.

Just put some white lithium grease, or something to that nature on the shaft. Take it out a drive it around. Then go back and see if the grease is moved at all.

You should be able to move them by hand when the car is cold, and not running.
