Need Help Asap....leading Coil Failure

Can running without the leading coils sparking cause any damage to my fc. Seems that the msd that I installed is not working properly, and here I sit 50+ miles from home wondering if I can "limp" home or will it damage the motor.

I have 3 hours before I get off from work so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, disconnect the MSD.

What happens? Just unplug the 12v power to it...?

That's my question... if you know that it's the MSD acting up, why not just go back to the stock system, with the ECU ignitor signal firing the coils directly?

The engine will run on the trailing plugs alone. Not well, but it'll run. However, if you have cats, I wouldn't suggest it. I suspect a LOT of unburned gas will be shooting out the exhaust ports, and the cats will likely overheat badly.

Well I unplugged the power, and still have no spark to the leading coils, I guess I'll limp home, and deal with it in the am.

Could the MSD have fried the Leading Coil? or could both coil and MSD be fubar?
