For the block weld coolant fix, everyone says to use Purple Power degreaser from Autozone. I cannot find that anywhere if it is a specific brand.

Will Castrol Super Clean work or is it too corrosive? That is the only thing I have available and simple green.

 

I used the castrol super clean once to do the block weld. It worked well. The NA block that I did this to is still on the road with 12,000 miles since the fix.
