Need help!!!!

i recently bought a JDM S5 turbo 2 motor for my 91 rx7 from ebay with an estimated amount of 44-60k miles on it. I've heard that JDM motors are mostly blown like that, so is there an easy way to check if it is blown before buying everything i need to put the car together??? plz help, i dont want to buy all these parts for my car and figure out that the engine is blown. thank you.

Spin the flywheel while listening to the exhaust ports. If you hear three solid whooshes from each exhaust outlet(6 total), then you probably have a good engine. I'd recommend rebuilding it regardless.

Here's a general rule I've seen.

Jspec = rebuild upon receiving.
