Cool need help

I'm new to the rotary scene & need help. I am currently running a '91 mustang with all the goodies but ready for a change Anyway I can get my hands on a '86 rx-7 with no motor but I can also get a '88 t2 motor with only 12000 miles on it & I need to know if the '86 tranny (5-speed) will work & what other things do I need to consider before I jump in any help is better than no help thanks

86 n/a tranny won't work on a t2 motor, I mean it will but it won't since the tranny will give out really fast. You would need the harness if its not already there. Drive train, t2 rear end of a t2. I would recommend useing a t2 engine and having a weak drivetrain. So basicly tranny, driveshaft, lsd if you want, fuelpump, thats all I can think of.
