sounds like a crossthreaded sparkplug, which is stating the obvious - right?

you need to fix the thread some how - which would include tearing down the engine and doing it right.

do not despair, do a search - there may be a nifty mechanic trick to fix it.

to give an example, my grandad gave me a bunch of tools -- theres this tool set that lets me replace valve springs w/ out taking off the head.

so im sure theres a short cut to fixing your problem....

good luck!

tis a scary situation. In a situation like that, the best way is the teardown. The quick and risky way is to retap the threads.. However the bad thing about this is that the shavings will go into the combustion chamber.. cause more harm than good

Turn the engine so as the rotor tip is just beyond (lower) than the spark plug hole that is damaged. This way both plug holes will be in the same chamber.
Try to retap the threads. Use some grease on the tap and remove often. The metal shavings will stick to the grease. When done, clean area well, then blow some compressed air into the upper, or trailing plug hole to blow out the remainder.
Worth a try.

hay im in sd too. im in northern sd near fallbrook

did you check the threds in the plug? if they are good then its cross threded in the housing so as others have sead. teardown,replace/repair. or tap and take the risk of damaging the rotor and or housing.

good luck!
