Need Help!

You know how the horn honks inside the car for 87 TII? Well how do you turn it off! I think i have pulled all the fuses and managed to pull the regular horn fuse, but it still honks at me when i red line. BTW I split one of my hoses last night stupidly drifting in a parking lot. Antifreeze is the word for the day and the moral is don't drift till you get a proper cooling system.

And yes, I already know i'm stupid!

While I'm at it what do i need to worry about if i ake off the Top Mount Intercooler. The Hose i busted is directly to the right of the Primary spark plug. It leads up behind the intercooler and into the firewall. I am begining to notice how poor the car was kept by the previous owner, granted now i cant say how well i'm taking care of it.

That horn you speak of is the dreaded red-line/low coolant/low oil buzzer. There is a thread about diabling it but then you will also disable the low-coolant and low oil buzzer which is not a good idea unless you have some extra gauges which you can count on for oil pressure and coolant temp.

As for the coolant line, that would be your heater core hose which flows a lot of coolant. I would replace all of the lines throughout the car because if that broke, who knows when the next one will break when you are desparately trying to get somewhere

LMFAO!! lol

Are you serious?? lol

IT aint the horn man. It's a little buzzer inside the instrument cluster. It is *meant* to do that. IT tells you to let your *** off the pedal or shift.

You mean, to access the busted hose? Just a couple of screw clamps, and 4 12mm bolts.

This hose is the drivers side heatercore hose, the most commonly busted one. Be very careful when disconnecting it from the firewall connection. If you screw this up (the nipple is VERy soft), you'll have a leaky heatercore, meaning water inside the car, constant coolant loss. You can only fix a busted heatercore by pulling the entire dash out of the interior, which is an all day job.

The buzzer is built into the combination meter. More or less in the rear center. You would have to unsolder it.

Intercooler is a piece of cake. Two hose clamps and oops two more small hose clamps, four bolts. Lift. Do not drop a thing into the open hoses.
