Will 87 RX-7 stock turbo fit in...

My 90 RX-7 GTU? My friend is willing to sell me the turbo, front mounted inter cooler and exhaust manifold for $350, but before I make this purchase, I want to know if it will bolt on my car no problem, if not what will I have to do to fabricate it on my car? Thanks

You will have to build a custom spacer for the exhaust manifold/turbo to bolt on.

Aaron cake did a whole series of threads on Turbo'ng a NA, you may wish to check the 2nd gen archive.

no it will not just bolt in, you will have to remove the 6 port actuators and fabricate a exhaust manifold extension, get all the intercooler piping made custom, blah blah blah. do a search and get on "aaroncakes" web site and read the write up he did on the n/a to turbo conversion.

You will need a TII engine for it to work properly because the turbo engines have a lower compression ratio to accept boost, and you would need an intake system, wiring harness, fuel injectors, computer, and various other parts.

Good Luck
