Need to get my bro a b-day present.

Okay... my bro is turning 20 years old, he has a white FC

hehe, felt like showing those off.. all I gota do is paint my car yellow and you can call us the red suns. (initial-d)

Anyways, I'm looking into buying him a racing seat. He does alot of auto x'ing, racing on road courses and I know hes always driving around lime creek (hes a soph at UT)

I want to get him a pretty snug but comfortable racing seat and a harness. What would be a good harness ??? I really am cluless to seats. Is a 4 or a 5 point harness good for a stree/race car. And whats a good seat... any kind of input would be great, his b-day is on the 8th

Im also thinking about a FMIC. He has a microtech, upgraded his fuel system, already has a dp, mp, exaust.

Is it possible to find a FMIC for fc's for 800 or less.

This should really be in the 2nd Gen section, as people there could advise you which work best in the FC.

take your pick.
That's all street gear. For track racing, he is going to want FIA approved equipment. Click on the "Competition" button on that Sparco website, and then choose from there.

Other seats and harnesses:

I'm not sure if the seat and harness is such a great idea, because a rollcage is really needed to take full advantage of these items.

How about a nice SNELL SA helmet instead of seat and harness? The thing is, he can autocross with the stock seat and harness, but he still needs a helmet. He may already have one, but if not, this would be a good present because nobody likes to use the sweaty loaner helmets at the autocross. IMO the Simpson Voyager SA (Nomex) is an excellent all-purpose RX-7 helmet, and it's a lot cheaper than your seat/harness and FMIC ideas, and it doesn't require any installation. If you want, you could even make it a package deal with a nice helmet bag and some extra shields.

Driving shoes and gloves are also pretty good if you know the correct size.
