~$2000. s4 NA's aren't really in high demand and are very plentiful.

If it wasn't for the mods I would say about 4-5k$, but yeah, 2 grand seems right on the money.

your car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. keep in mind you can get a running t2 for about $3000-$4000...just because you paid $3000 for a motor, doesn't mean someone is going to pay you that much for it.

also, its a REBUILD...not brand new.

You just don't realize you do. Put a wideband in the car & measure fuel pressure, if you'd like to see. The walbro increases fuel pressure a ton, which means more fuel under every condition. And then 550cc secondaries, without any fuel control, will dump even more in excess. You're just making the car slower by dumping a whole lot of additional fuel in. NAs run too rich from the factory, and a streetport isn't going to warrant that much fuel.

If the body, interior and paint are in good shape, you'll be in a better position to get more for it. Many FCs get sold for very little due to problems in those areas.

Well, if you could please read and understand T-66s post, you will begin to understand "WORTH". Most potential buyers will look at the car as an '85 RX-7 non-turbo. The overall condition of the car will be more important to most potential buyers than the "extras" you mention. However, you may find an enthusiast who is willing to pay a bit more than the average for a car with those extras. I think you will have the car for a long time waiting for someone to pay a price you are thinking.

In any case, I wish you good luck. Ya never know what some people will pay for a car that they REALLY want.

an enthusiast would not want this car. Enthusiast want a pure stock car. Its hard to get 5k for a S5 GTUs. You would be lucky to get 2500 for this car. The s4, NA with burgundy interior is one of the least desirable combination.

For all the money you put into this, you could've bought a FD, these days!

If you want to find out what it's worth, post it for sale here, on craigslist and on AutoTrader. Get back to us with the highest bidder that actually has money.

We are not trying to be jerks, but there are plenty of people on here who know what sells in the FC market. Take that car over to a Honda forum and let them tell you it's worth 10k, but you'll never get that for it.

If you want to get top dollar - part it out.

If that engine was built with OEM parts someone might pay you 1500-2000 for the keg. Alternatively, break it down and part out each iron for $250, housing for 250 and so on.

The TII brakes, trans, and diff add value to a person wanting to TII swap the car but you have to keep in mind ALL of those parts ALREADY come on a *real* TII, along with the TII engine. And you can buy a running driving certified TII for around 4K, so why would someone pay that much for a franken-TII without the turbo engine?

I would advertise it for $3,000 and go from there.

FC market is ****. My car on paper should be worth $12,000. 400+whp, sweet EMS, great engine and turbo setup, low mileage, fresh paint and body kit 18" wheels..........endless list. But there is NO ONE in the planet who would give me more the 8K for it. Just the way it goes with cars, of every dollar you put into it (of performance parts), expect to get 5 cents out of it on the high side.

The car itself is worth maybe 1000 on a good day (S4 na, burgandy interior ) but with the rebuild with all the new parts, and the turbo drivetrain I'd say $2k-$2.5k is a fair price.

Rule #1 of cars: You never get back what you put in. This is especially true with rotaries.

I live in the same area and have sold Mazda's for over 10 years. These cars will sell for diffrent prices in diffrent area's. Maybe if you drove the car to Canada and it was rust free (seen the car in person, pretty clean car) they may pay more for it. Also, the economy is diffrent in diffrent areas. Luckily your in Cali and people have more money and do more driving in sunny weather.

I have a TII and would be lucky to get 4-5k and my car is pretty clean w/nice safety upgrades. New rad, rebuilt motor,s5 PD, RB oil reg, ported s5turbo,Full RB exhaust etc. In 2000 I sold my white base s4 with blue int for $4200 (private sale) and I thought I ripped the guy off but he wanted the car. I then bought a GXL for $4000 with with 50k less miles right down the road. I know an old guy in Fortuna right now that is selling a 88 GXL with 82k on the clock. Has 17" rims, exhaust and looks brand spanking new. He said he would take $3500. Again, the car looks brand new!

If I owned your car I would ask 3k and go low as 2.5k. Your car is pretty clean and you should get that. THE BIG ISSUE IS WILL YOU PASS SMOG W/ A STEETPORT AND 550C INJ? MY GUESS IS NO.

Sorry, for the long rant but this gives you an idea on what cars sell for in our area.

I think if you have all the receipts from the rebuild to show the buyer, you might clear $3000. Ask $3500 and shoot for that. From the photos the exterior paint only looks fair and you mention that the interior is a little rough; that's the kind of stuff that will keep anyone from offering you more than the going rate for an S4. If you have the time, it would probably be worth your trouble to put the clean gray TII interior in.

Like everyone has mentioned, just because you put your hard earned money into a car, that does not guarantee that you have increased its value. Yes, a fresh rebuilt engine will cost you $3000-4000. However, as soon as you installed the motor in your car and turned the key, it's value dropped about 85%. Sorry. That's just the way it works.

If you are looking for the most value for your investment, part the car. You should be able to clear $3000 if you are patient.

The value of your car as is? I wouldn't spend more than $1500-1700 due to the ruff interior, the paint being average, and custom mods that don’t make sense.
If it didn't have a burgundy interior? Maybe $1750

Honestly, the fuel mods you’ve done are hurting you. Without a fuel computer to tune with, your car is running pig rich and losing power. If you have a dyno chart showing a consistent fuel mix across the RPM range, then we might believe you. As far as I know, there is no S4 NA 6-port engine in existence, running the STOCK ECU that requires that much fuel.
