Need EFI wiring diagram for an 89
Need EFI wiring diagram for an 89
I have the engine and management out of an 89 that I am putting into a VW bug. What I need is the factory, or at least a complete, wiring diagram that covers the EFI including all computer pinouts.
The purpose is so I can remove all the excess crap that does not need to be there and still have it work.
thanks,
Mark

Look at the FAQ at the top of the page, it's the first sticky. then go to the secton about a page down where the FSM's are located and pull it up from there for the year of the car you pulled it out of.

There are no online 89-91 wiring diagrams available. You can buy them from Mazdatrix.

Personally if I was going to all the effort to but a 13BT in a Bug, I wouldn't bother with the stock EFI system. In the long run it will be easier and the results will be much better if you use aftermarket EFI (e.g. MicroTech, Haltech).

Next summer it will get a turbo, porting, and a Megasquirt EFI but for now I just want it to run for the winter while I give my turbo-ford powered baja a facelift.
I found the wiring diagram in the FAQ but really need something with color codes. Does the mazdatrix one have all that?

See if this helps. A few of the color might be wrong.
