Need carb know it alls

http://store.summitracing.com/produc...earchtype=ecat

I am looking at one of those Demon carbs, and I would make my own intake manifold, if I bought one of those carbs, but I am thinking about buying a 625 cfm Demon carb. And I am wondering if it will work.

And I know that I would have to customize a throttle linkage for it, along with a new fuel pump, but I am just wondering what details I am missing, and what complications that I would run in to.

Nice- You will need a pump/regulator, a manifold, intake/filter. Other than that I don't think you will need much.

But in all fairness a microtech would be better. I learned this by reading and looking at dynographs and prices.

But I'm sure that is much more than a $300 carb, and a home made intake ...

you only need to spend about 800 for a microtech.
I think it is like 300 for the carb, 100 for the pump, another 40 for the regulator, and however much you want to spend in your manifold, plus and intake system with a nice filter is another 50 or 60 bux. I am sure that it is cheaper if you are making the manifold but I would'nt trust something home made to hold up for very long.

You might want to look into the J-tech manifold. I have seen some on ebay for 300.
