Need answer ASAP.. searched.. shaking prob.
Anytime there is load on the tranny.. wether pushing me forward.. or load from the engine slowing the tranny down... thereis NO shaking..
however.. when I put it in neutral and coast... anywhere above 30-40 mph... the car shakes like crazy...
anyone have any clue as to what could be causing this?? I'm leaving on a 3h hour trip in about 30 min... need some fast ideas.. thanks

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Does the vibration happen regardless of if the tranny is in gear or not and you coast???
It sounds like a bad rear U joint or bad tranny mount

Yea.. it's reguardless of if it's in gear or neutral... if the clutch is in and the engine is not connected to tranny she shakes like a son of a biatch...
I got under the car... u joint seemed ok? The mount however... the rubber peice on the bottom is about an inch from the metal crossmember...
What kind of problems am I looking at for this trip? Will I be safe to make this trip? It's been like this for 2 weeks now, tho is noticeably worse here and there.... But the drives are only 20ish minutes...
Where I'm headed, I have another 7 that I can pull parts off of... in fact.. that's pretty much the reason I'm going up.. to inspect two 7's and pull parts off the one sitting around so that one of my others will be up to snuff...

Most likely:
1) Wheel issue (bent rim, bent half-shaft or front A-arm, loose lug nuts, rim-wheel hub allignment issues (trash between the two)
2) Bad CV Joints in driveshaft or mis-alligned driveshaft
3) Bad Wheel bearing
4) Differential-Subframe mount
5) Transmission mount
Put it on a trailer. You can rent them from U-haul or other places.

Well/.. it's hard to pull a trailer with a 7 especially without a way to latch the trailer on =)
If it were issue 1 or 3... wouldn't it be a consistent problem? reguardless of load on tranny/engine?
Does anyone have a photo of what a good tranny mount looks like? I have a pretty good feeling that's what it is, however, I can't for the life of me figure out what to do to fix this one....
