Question Need advice on what kind of coilovers and brakes to get.

I just got a 1987 RX7, and I plan to add mods to it... My first priority is the braking and handling of the car, so I wanted to find out what types of coilovers are good for the RX7, and what brand should I get for the a brake upgrade? Also do 18" rims fit nicely on the car or should I go smaller? Thanks...

Define "coilovers"...

I have found the biggest difference is when you change the shocks/dampers.&nbsp *** Import sells the KYB AGX shocks for $370 shipped to your door in the U.S. - this is DAMN cheap! http://www.coximport.com/

As for brakes, a good set of aftermarket brake pads will give you pretty good brake power.&nbsp Popular is the Hawk HPS brake pads.&nbsp If you want something more aggressive (and expensive), go with Performance Friction (83 or 90 compound).&nbsp Any of these pads are streetable - the PF's will take track abuse also.

I had Brembo rebuild my stock four piston calipers, and the I went with Metal Master Brake Pads, and Powerstop crossdrilled rotors on the breaks. As far as the coilovers....I think the Ground Control is pretty good. They are made by Eibach.

I use the Metal Master pads too... pretty decent for "street" pads.

Just to clarify... Ground Control coil-overs are NOT made by Eibach. They use Eibach SPRINGS, but the rest of the unit is made by Ground Control.
