Need advice regarding brakes...

My car sways to the left when I step on the brakes and is accompanied by a harsh "clunk" to top it off. I'm guessing the bushings went out but I could be wrong. Anyone have some ideas?

If it is the bushings I found an energy suspension replacement kit for $105 online. Would that be enough to fix it? It includes: Front and rear control arm bushings, front and rear sway bar bushings, ball joint and tie rod end boots.

I'm moving this over to the suspension/brakes section. Mod's go ahead and delete.
